Now we all know how hard it can be finding the right size of cage, the right length and square feet.
We all know about those cages from certain shops that are sold which shouldn't be as they're not suitable for any animal, we were going to make this mistake when buying Oreo, but quickly realised this wouldn’t be fair on him, so started with a £45 cage and then had a spare cage from the Guinea pigs so used that cage and then added mesh using cable ties.
It didn’t look pretty but it worked for a while and we had this setup until we decided to upgrade to a IKEA ‘Detolf’.
Lauren saw people were using these cabinets on various Hamster groups on Facebook and we can honestly say it was worth every penny even at £65 and then the Uber cost on top as it was so heavy 😂
So here's our top 5 of all the best and most suitable cages for hamsters:
Detolf Ikea - 163cm x 43cm
ZooZone 2 - 98cm x 43cm
Slavic Plaza - 100cm x 50cm
Pawnut Wooden Cage - 115cm x 60cm
Alexander Cage - 101cm x 52cm
